Five Saints Riding Centre is situated in the Cothi Valley at the start of the Cambrian Mountains, Carmarthenshire, West Wales. The village of Pumsaint & the surrounding countryside is a relatively undiscovered area in one of the most picturesque parts of Wales. Our farm has direct access to a variety of terrain from forestry tracks to mountain moors.
We specialize in horse riding holidays with a varied range of itineraries.
You will hack out in small informal groups (approx. 6-8 horses) tailoring the rides to your own requirements and you will be accompanied by an experienced guide.
All of our horses are forward going, well schooled & responsive, ranging from 13.3 hh to 16.3 hh. While most are suitable for riders of all abilities, a few are used exclusively for experienced riders.
If you're visiting the area and would like to do some horse riding give us a call, we do a half hour lead rein ride for small children, 1 hour ride, 2 hour ride, half day & full day pub or picnic rides.
BED & BREAKFAST
We also offer farmhouse Bed & Breakfast holidays for non riders*. There are plenty of clearly marked trails if you would prefer to mountain bike or perhaps enjoy a walk into the hills. Brechfa Forest mountain bike trails are just a short drive away. Birdwatchers are especially drawn to this area, as this is one of the last habitats of the native Red Kite, which frequently fly over our cottage. The RSPB centre is just a short drive away. We have a small lake stocked with Mirror Carp, Rudd & Tench, permits are also available locally to fish in the Cothi river and there are trout ponds 5 miles away at Springwater Lakes. BRING YOUR OWN HORSE ON HOLIDAY
from May - November (excluding August). Fantastic area for riding, trail maps provided. All inclusive rate for use of stable/bedding, outdoor manege, B&B, packed lunches & evening meals. Come for any no. of days but there is a discounted weekly rate. Email/phone for details/prices.
CAMPING - £5.00 per person per night.
We have a lovely secluded field with a small stream, it is not accessible by car so from our yard we will take your things down by quad, a really out of the way/back to basics camping experience - only 4 tents allowed on the site so peaceful and private, but if you are a group of 10+ then you can have as many tents as you like and the field will be exclusively yours for the duration of your stay - great for parties as you won't disturb anyone but the sheep. We have ample parking in the yard and groups of mountain bikers are most welcome as there a lots of forestry tracks around here and specialised one 20mins away in Brechfa Forest. There are braziers to rent for that outdoor campfire and bags of logs are for sale. There is a toilet and cold water on the yard and a compost toilet in the field, if you really fancy a bath then that can be arranged in the farmhouse where you can also arrange evening meals and full cooked breakfasts if you get fed up with with your camping stove. We also have a large tent to rent which sleeps 4 pers. very comfortably (it's actually classed as an 8pers. tent but that really is cramming you in - much better for 4pers).

During your holiday you will stay in our comfortable & spacious en-suite
accommodation with your own entrance, private garden with beautiful views
over the valley. Evening meals are available, Oz is renowned for his good
home cooking, we use fresh & organic local produce where possible.
As a working farm we produce our own lamb & corn-fed free range
eggs. The farm is supplied by natural spring water, great for your skin
& also makes an excellent cup of tea.......
