Learn to Ride / Teaching Holidays

These breaks were a great sucess in 2008/09 so we are continuing to offer our learn to ride/teaching programme for riders over 16 years old. This package is aimed at total beginners to intermediate riders. We are running this course as an equestrian outreach programme with the Welsh College of Horticulture (WCOH). The courses cover the basic skills of horse riding and general horsecare & safety. In a weeks programme you can do both the riding and horse care course unless you are a total beginner and then you would just do the horse care course. On successful completion of your chosen course you will be awarded a certificate from the WCOH.
NB. UNTIL LATER THIS YEAR THESE COURSES ARE AVAILABLE BUT NOT CERTIFICATED AS THE WCOH HAVE CURRENTLY STOPPED THEM UNTIL THEY PREPARE NEW COURSES, BUT YOU CAN STILL FOLLOW THE SAME SYLLABUS FOR YOUR HOLIDAY. You will also recieve a folder with all your notes & course handouts.

Novice to intermediate riders in addition to covering the above course will be taught at their own level, please advise us of any areas you would like to improve on in either flatwork or jumping.

Your week holiday ( 6 nights ) includes your accomodation, riding, lunch, tea/coffee and evening meal on your night of arrival. Evening meals can be booked for the week in advance at a supplement of £80 per person. You may also book an extra nights stay and full day picnic ride at an additional cost of £100 per person.

Teaching holidays are available throughout the year excluding August, Easter & Whit.
