Week Riding Holiday Itinerary

ARRIVAL

Arrival between 5-8pm.
We will show you to your ensuite room, you have your own private entrance & garden.
1st nights evening meal is included in your package. This is served at approximately 8p.m.

DAY 1

1 hour ride through forest

1 Hour Ride

We will introduce you to your horse/pony .

A really pretty 1 hour ride to get used to your horse and the area
" A taste of things to come".

DAY 2

Half Day Ride

To Ffarmers village.
Afternoon Free. Some suggestions for your free Time

  • Carreg Cennen Castle
  • National Botanical Gardens
  • Aberglasney House
  • Quad Bike Riding
  • Local Water Mill
  • Sea-side(40 mins- New Quay)
  • Fishing at Spring Water Lakes/Cothi River

DAY 3

Full Day Picnic Ride

Climbing high above the Cothi river for spectacular views of the surrounding Cothi valley.
We descend to our lunch stop through Caio forest, where we will have a picnic by the river.

DAY 4

Half Day Ride

To Blaen Rhisglog forest. Beautiful views of the start of the Cambrian Mountains.

Afternoon Free

DAY 5

Full Day Pub Ride

Ride to village pub going over Mynydd Mallaen (Wild Moorland).
Lunch at Brunant Arms at Caio.

DAY 6

Full Day Picnic Ride

Climbing up a steep track to Craig Twrch, where we either have our picnic on the top of the Craig or ride to a ruined village in the forest. This takes you to one of the highest points in the area for stunning 360 views across to the Brecon Beacons & the Black Mountains.

DEPARTURE

Vacate your accommodation after breakfast at your leisure. If you choose to include the Merlin 2 Day Trail Ride as part of your itinerary this will replace Day 5 & 6. However the day ride on Day 3 will follow the route outlined on Day 6. Click here for Trail Ride Itinerary.

NB: Day rides leave at 11 - 11.30 a.m & return at approx 4 - 4.30 p.m.

Half day rides are between 2 -2.5 hours
